Goods for dispatch to destinations within the UK are delivered to you by Royal Mail Special Delivery (this is so that we can ensure the parcel is signed for by you and is covered against loss or damage while in transit. Normally this is a flat rate surcharge of £15.00 However, we reserve the right to charge large garment orders at cost for multiple parcels etc.
At our discretion, single light weight and low value garment orders (e.g. a shirt or a shift on it's own) will be charged at £10.00
For outside of this area and all overseas orders, customers should check carriage costs with us before ordering.
If you request, a telephone call will be made before hand to check whether you will be available to sign for deliveries. Otherwise, we will assume that someone will sign for the goods on delivery. If you wish to collect your order at a particular show, muster or market, then the postage will be refunded to you on collection. If you do not collect at that event the garments will automatically be sent in the following week.
Full payment must be made on point of order placement. Work on the order will not be even started otherwise. We accept all major debit and credit cards, including American Express!
Please help us by not making frivolous enquires, requests for patterns, career advice, or media interviews. We are not recruiting employees or consultants. Our patterns are not for sale and we do not give any discounts except for bulk orders (see below). We do not need advertising, we are famous enough already.

By email: Please put the word Costume somewhere in the Subject line, we receive a loading of about 300 to 400 spam messages per day, and messages with blank subject lines are auto-deleted.
Please allow 3 days for replies, and at least a week for detailed quotations which require costings. If you are impatient with anyone who does not reply to emails in the hour, try picking up the telephone and talking to us instead, the multi-synchronous data transfer speed is a lot quicker that way.
If you are ordering standard size garments from stock, and from available colours, your garments can be dispatched to you within 3 working days if ordering by credit card, although bear in mind, the actual receipt of your order may be delayed by Post Office delivery schedules and weekends. Orders paid via cheque are dispatched upon receipt and clearance of your payment. Stock garment orders (where we are out of stock of the garment you require) are generally completed within 6 weeks except during the event season (May to September) when this can extend to 10 weeks. Modified size and outsize orders take 8 weeks, and 10 to 14 weeks during the event season. Please accept that we do not do rush jobs.
There is a 5% discount when ordering 20 identical garments or more. To qualify for a discount such an order must be of a standard stock item, be of one colour only and be all from our standard size range. For example, an order for 20 coats in dark grey, 2 small, 12 medium, 3 large and 3 extra large would be eligible. We are able to offer this due to times savings in bulk cutting off the roll and in construction of the garments. Colour mixed orders and outsize garments are not considered. We do not offer trade discounts, we cut our prices to the bone to compete in a cut throat industry, if you can re-sell it at a higher price, go ahead, good luck, except if you ask for credit, when you will discover how much pain a sewing needle inflicts...
